Tina Marie Connelly
Suffering from severe anxiety, depression & insomnia in my 30’s,I found my way to yoga. Falling in love with the practice immediately, I found yoga gave me the tools to regain control of my life.
After practicing for several years & wanting to share this gift with others, I went on to complete my 200-hour teacher training in 2015.
My goal as a teacher has always been making yoga accessible for all. I’ve been teaching chair yoga for several years now & I really love it! A chair yoga practice allows accessibility to EVERY BODY, no matter your size, age or mobility!
I want people to know yoga doesn’t have to be complicated
Anyone can do yoga, there are no requirements. All you need is the desire to want to move and feel better. Feel better about yourself and the body you are in. This is not a weight-loss regiment. It’s to feel better, move more and connect to oneself.
Dawn Lynch
Dawn discovered the transformative power of yoga on her journey to recovery from PTSD. She believes in the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, which fuels her mission to share the gift of yoga with all.
After finding renewal through yoga, EMDR therapy, and the support of West Church, Dawn was inspired to spread the healing she had found. This led her to complete a 200-hour teacher training, and she now strives to create inclusive community experiences that foster growth and connection.
Dawn seeks to make the practice of yoga accessible to everyone, believing that it holds the potential to heal and transform lives, just as it did hers.
Cindy Bishop
I found my “Yin to my Yang” when I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Urban Bliss School of Yoga in July, 2015. Practicing Yoga has been a healing journey for me, and I feel blessed sharing this beautiful practice to all levels. I teach a variety of classes including Deep Stretch, Gentle Yoga, Chair Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Baptiste, and Hot Power Flow, and Meditation.
“Yoga vows- Be patient to your restlessness. Be kind to your body. Be grateful for the opportunity of being here just now. Feel driven by the unique chance to learn a little more, to know yourself a little deeper.”
Amy Schneider
Amy is our lead teacher for classes offered at the Ada Jenkins center! “I love sharing what it is like to be in your body, to experience each unique sensation, from the placement of your fingerpads on the mat for Down Dog to the extension of your arms in Virabradrasana. Yoga for me is much more than achieving the perfect Triangle. As we move past the physicality of yoga practice and unearth the sacred, emotional, personal and spiritual practice, we find the real beauty of yoga.
As a teacher and studio owner, I strive for inclusivity. All ages, body types, yoga levels are invited and welcomed to the studio.
I am a believer in celebrating our many similarities rather than counting our differences.”
Lisa Neale
Lisa is a yoga teacher and the social media manager of Give Yoga NC.
She sees Yoga as this lovely way of opening our eyes, helping us evolve in our self awareness and invite love and gratitude into our lives. Lisa had her “aha” moment about three years ago, when inner peace was hard to find and decided to take her Yoga practice more seriously. She took two 200hr Teacher Trainings and is now pursuing her 500hr RYT with her mentor, (and one of our own) Ms Talei Allen! Her goal as a teacher is to guide you into this self love exploration and maybe even bear witness to your “aha” moment.
Leslie Wilson
Leslie has been a fitness instructor for over 10 years including chair fitness, strength and step aerobics. She has practiced yoga for many years and recently completed her 200 hr YTT with Talei Allen.
She believes yoga is for ANY and EVERYONE and it is so much more than an exercise class! It is an opportunity to slow down, to connect with what matters, to challenge yourself and to grow. Her goal is to inspire others to move in a way that is right for them and to discover the benefits it will bring!
